The Story: On November 8, 1946, Arizona State's student body passed a vote to convert from the Bulldogs to the Sun Devils. "Sparky," ASU's new mascot, soon followed. The mischievous character was designed by alumnus and ex-Disney illustrator, Berk Anthony.

To this day, the Sparky logo has remained one of the most iconic collegiate marks in the country. Go, Devils!
